Natural disasters provide an opportunity for our member churches to mourn with those who mourn and bring restoration to brokenness in our community. St. Louis Metro facilitates planning and communication for serving opportunities during such times.

SEND Disaster Relief. You may not see them on your street or hear about them on the local news, but there are people in your community who need your help. They might be human trafficking victims desperate for escape. Refugees and internationals are struggling to find normal in a new country. More than 480,000 American children in foster care are hurting. And victims of fires and natural disasters are coping with the loss of possessions and loved ones.

Send Relief provides a way to respond to these needs. We offer resources, training experiences and events to help you and your church engage in relief work, and we provide opportunities for you to support those in crisis through prayer, finances and volunteer efforts.

Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief assists with disaster response across the country. As volunteer teams minister to those affected, you can help. Here’s how:

1) Pray for the victims, and for those ministering to them. Watch the Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief Facebook page for up to date prayer needs.

2) Give to the disaster relief efforts of the Missouri Baptist Convention. Giving through Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief ensures that 100% of the funds collected will go directly to Disaster Relief within the affected areas.

3) Go. MBC’s disaster relief specialists are sending teams to help with recovery. You may be able to join one of those teams. Contact Eric Barb for more information.
